The City of Richmond Hill is in the process of preparing an Affordable Housing Strategy. The Strategy will provide guidance and tools for the City to work with the building and development sector to create affordable housing in the private housing market in Richmond Hill.

We are holding a Public Open House to discuss the need for the City’s Affordable Housing Strategy and options to consider within the Strategy. The Public Open House will give you an opportunity to hear about the background study and options for the Affordable Housing Strategy. It is also an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and ideas about how the City can work with the development community to increase the supply of affordable housing.

In support of the efforts of our public health partners and the Province of Ontario to stop the spread of COVID-19, the meeting will be held using electronic video conference technology. All are welcome to attend the session; however, pre-registration is required. Click the following link to pre-register for the open house.

The session will hosted by the City of Richmond Hill in conjunction with SHS Consulting, who have been retained by the City to prepare the Strategy.
